a foodie at heart
We have attempted twice now, to direct market our beef to clients. While these were interesting ventures, I realise I was no sales person, I was happier at home doing what I did best. Our first attempt was in Sydney through AC Butchers (above) in Leichhardt in 1998. We lobbed into this Italian butcher shop when the World Cup soccer comp was on. These Italians stayed up all night and drank coffee all day debating the games with mates who found a perch somewhere amidst the pastramis and salamis. Their Italian was so expressive I could never tell if they were elated or damnated! but they were delicious fun!! Carlos was a real foodie as you can tell from his shop! He made a wicked 3 cheese pasta one lunch hour.

The second venture, 2008 was with Rusty, my infamous mate & more infamous chef. We had great fun reinventing the organic, gourmet butcher shop! Rusty's pastrami was the real killer. It was so good we could never make enough! Eventually the drought took me home again.
