Springtime Festival
25th-27th of September 2018

Introduction to Permaculture
Music and feasting to celebrate in the Spring

The Springtime Festival at Huntly was everything we imagined. We celebrated the Spring Equinox with knowledge, music and ceremony. Kelle's gardens were abundant with food, Katja and Camille's slaved to finish the pond, the bbq area and the gardens.

Tom and Zaia Kendall shared their passion for Permaculture and music, and the audience were like sponges, soaking up all the new systems, designs and notes. Katja gave a fascinating presentation on the life of bees and their benefits in the garden.

Bret led the Equinox ceremony around the fire under the full moon. The kids adorned the Rain Goddess Woosh, and in a treasure hunt found the Rain maker stone, which to our surprise brought a sudden sharp 7mls of rain. People came from far and wide to make it a really special event. Thank you to all who helped and Kate too! Our next event will be on the Autumn Equinox when we delve deep into the soils. I hope you can join us then.
